Dana Bertolini
Sonora, Mexico
Dana was hunting with Mike and again they found a “mouse deer”. They both thought this buck was much larger than it really was. It nets a little over 90 inches.
Mike Cupell Mouse Deer
Sonora, Mexico
Mike calls this a “mouse deer” because it had an unusually small body. So it fooled him into thinking the rack was larger than it was. This buck grossed 102 and nets 100.
Mike Cupell 118
Sonora, Mexico
Mike says the beams of this buck touch so tightly that you cannot slide a piece of paper between them! Mike passed on this buck the year before when he was about 107 inches. The following year he killed him in the same small basin. This time he scored 118 gross, 113 net. Mike had this buck mounted life-size and says it occupies a place of honor in his family room. He also says that no matter what buck he gets in the future, this one will always be his “best” Coues buck.
The bottom photos are some habitat shots that Mike took of some of the areas he hunts in Mexico.
Mike Cupell 8th Day
Sonora, Mexico
Mike got this buck on the 8th and last day of his hunt. He had passed up several larger bucks but decided to go ahead and take this one. It grosses 103 and nets 100 inches and that is without any G-1 credit (you can see he has only one eyeguard so he loses that credit).
Marco A Ingio Pavlovich 2003
Dec. 2003
Marco got this deer while hunting with his cousin at a ranch near Hermosillo.
The deer was taken with a 170 meter shot from a 7mm Remington mag. with a 150 gr. Sierra game king bullet. The deer was distracted by another deer and so they were able to watch this one for quite awhile before shooting it.
Marco says this buck scores 134 5/8. Congratulations Marco!

Mexico
Jim says this buck grosses over 123 inches. This is Jim’s 8th buck that grosses over 120! 6 of those 8 are from Arizona, 2 from Mexico. And he says that this buck is his 23rd to gross over 100!!! Wow, that’s some serious Coues deer hunting. He took this last buck with John Lazzeroni’s personal Warbird rifle at 302 yards.
Woody Farnsworth 2003
Dec. 2003
Mexico
Woody took this tremendous buck at 300 yds on the 3rd morning of a 5 day Mexico hunt. He wishes to thank friends who afforded him the opportunity and experience over the last 8 years (since he caught “Coues fever”) to harvest this spectacular buck. He dedicates this trophy to all of them and thanks them immensely.
Unofficial gross green score is 128 7/8. Woody scored it at (very conservative) 126 6/8 SCI, and 124 4/8 B & C. Because he is a non-typical Woody wants to score him with SCI. He used a 300 R.U.M. Sendero.
Jim Vincent
Mexico
This buck score 103 and is a 4×4. Jim says he calls him Wyatt because it took a Wyatt Earp shootout to get him.
These bucks score from 100 to 110 inches.

Patrick Finch 2006
Jan. 2006
Patrick got this buck after sitting his treestand for 7 days and passing on several 80-90’s inch bucks. Then this buck came in and he couldn’t resist. This buck scores 102 5/8 SCI and won Patrick a big buck contest in NM and a new ATV!!
This is the 2nd coues that Patrick has killed with his bow. The first one he called in by rattling. The buck came to 20 yards and Patrick was able to shot him. It scored 86 1/8.
Patrick says he has spent that last 10 years hunting this remarkable animal and it’s one of the hardest things he has done.
