firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted August 13, 2008 Well, I am finally to the point of where I want a good, high quality spotting scope. So, I would like to trade my Kimber for one. The gun: Kimber 84M 22-250. Bought brand new in 2006. Barrel was properly broken in by myself and RedRabbit. The gun has been hunted with, but has not, in any means been abused. There are the normal handling marks on the stock from going in/out of the safe and being my main coyote gun. Metal is 98%+. Gun is topped with a Leupold VX-III (Leupold number 55275) 4.5-14x40 LR (side focus) 30mm tube Varmint Reticle sitting in Leupold bases/rings. Scope is in excellant condition, lenses are perfect. Unlike some other Kimbers, this gun is a shooter. I stopped at 1/2" 5 shot group with 50 NBT, Rem brass, F210 primer and 36 grains of Varget. My best shot with this gun is a jack rabbit at 435 yards. AzHunt Report post Posted August 13, 2008 Good lookin' gun. Did it come from the factory with a blued reciever and stainless barrel? What are you looking to trade for/selling price?
firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted August 13, 2008 It is 100% original, minus a trigger job. I did the trigger myself and it is a fair trigger. Not excellant, but not bad. About 3 lbs. I am not looking to sell, just trade for a high quality spotting scope.
scoutm Report post Posted August 13, 2008 Don't do it dude...you will regret it. Save those pennies and buy a nice used or mid range spotting scope - a scope won't get used as much as that rifle will and besides if you see a 50" deer in a 60X scope you'll be blasting away thinking its a 100 incher.
