What rifle to use ????

Hi guys here is the thing I have a 25-06 I shoot pretty good but with the no lead rule I have 100 gr vital shoks are they big enough

My other gun is a 338 with 225 gr vital shoks little on the big side I only have this gun for AK and breaking bones in bears so do I go light heavy or borrow a rifle? Thanks just over thinking this hunt already. Oh ya any hunt the Kaibab in a bad weather year and take a lever action for days with little visibility I did this in oregon often when you could not use a scope if you wanted.

I don't believe there is a no lead rule on the Kaibab. They just "encourage" you to use non-lead ammo.

well they give you 2 boxes of ammo and would rather see people try to use non lead than see a law passed like duck hunting then they have yet another thing to check us for every chance they get also dont want to mess with the carma of my hunt non lead is fine with me

You need something right in the middle, 270wsm, 7mag, 30-06...

 

Sounds like an excuse to go buy another gun to me!

cant go wrong with a 270 wsm... i absolutely love mine!! Tikka is the way to go

You could go with another gun but the 25-06 would do just fine. If you don't want to spend the money go with the what ever of the two guns you shoot the best.>>> Manny

I'd use the .25-06 with no problem. Well I'd even use it on elk.

The .270 short mag is works very well.
