muskrat Report post Posted August 9, 2008 I drew a tag for October and I haven't ever hunted in that Unit. Better yet (or worse) I have never hunted turkeys in my life. If anyone has any advice, I'm all ears. err.. eyes. Will probably be alone, so if anyone wants to tag along, they are more than welcome. Planning on a couple of scouting trips in September. Huntn coues Report post Posted August 9, 2008 Find a tank with tracks on it and throw up a blind or stand. Bring a good book or video game and relax. Fall turkey hunting is nothing like hunting them in the spring. You can also try finding where they roost. If you find an area that has an abundance of turkey sign in it you could start checking out all the S or SE facing hills/canyons for one of their roosts.
