Jason_Sprouse3 Report post Posted February 22, 2021 I have 2008 arctic cat 400 4x4 automatic. It has over 160lb of compression. It's getting fuel, and has a bright blue spark. The spark is constant not a hit and miss. But for the life of me I can't get it to start. It tries, but won't run. All help and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance. oz31p Report post Posted February 22, 2021 How long has it sat with out running?
Viper Report post Posted February 22, 2021 Could be bad gas from sitting several months, or the fuel pump, which is a small diaphragm-type under the seat, or fuel filter. Could be a really badly clogged air filter. I've had to service all these on my AC 500.
JSR Report post Posted February 22, 2021 I let my Polaris sit too long and the fuel filter gummed up. I put some Sea Foam in the gas tank and in the carb, let it set overnight and it fired right up the next day. it was a gravity feed fuel system though.....no fuel pump. yotebuster Report post Posted February 22, 2021 Gas gas gas. Anything with ethanol in it starts breaking down within 2 weeks. Never ever run that crap in small engines. Rinse the tank and change the filter and put some fresh 91 octane pure gas in there and it’ll touch right off.
