fdh88 Report post Posted February 16, 2021 I was thinking about camping at Alamo, but I've never been there without a boat. Is it worth going and bank fishing?
bigj23 Report post Posted February 16, 2021 Alamo is good from the shore or boat, especially during the spawn. We will be out there in a few weeks for five days. Best trip of the year.
thegunsmith2506 Report post Posted February 16, 2021 My wife and I have been there around the end of March a couple of times and had a blast. I have never fished Alamo from a boat so I can't compare it to that.

Nice crappie. Yeah I caught hundred off the shore a couple years ago. Glorious. Maybe this year. Last time it went dry, 2 years later was on fire. It went dry 2 years ago, so I’m cautiously optimistic. They vote this week I think about letting non members on

Probably 10 keepers a day along with lots of other fish mixed in.
