BGHUNTER00 Report post Posted August 7, 2008 Hello. I'm in the planning phase for my first ever AZ coues hunt and had a couple questions for you guys, if you don't mind. I've been going over some maps and located an area in unit 33 called the Pusch Ridge Wilderness. I'm sure you guys may be familiar with it, but I'm not. Would this be a decent place to hunt? Any comments or suggestions about the area would really be appreciated. We will be hunting archery in Jan, what are your favorite days in Jan to hunt for coues deer? Thanks for any info you may provide. Troy

coueshunter Report post Posted August 7, 2008 33 has tons of couesdeer. Just remember you are rut hunting in January so glassing will be the key. 33 is a big unit, get maps and just pick a spot, get up high and be set up before first light. Hopefully you have 15x bino's and a good tripod. Hope you do well.............Allen..........
Birddog Report post Posted August 7, 2008 Molino and Sycamore Basins are great areas. Make sure to get a trail map take the trails out. Do your homework and some scouting goes along way. Unit 33 has alot of hunters so have on some hunter orange. Good luck
