punkrcker1344 Report post Posted August 6, 2008 Well me and my friend are going to go coyote hunting next friday, and were wondering where to go exactly. I haven't really hunted them, i normally stick to whitetail deer. I do have a varment call, but is that the best to use? I need to find a place fairly close to gilbert . I could go an hour a way of its good territory. Any advice on hunting the little buggers would be very appreciative.
firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted August 6, 2008 The key is set up. Make sure the truck is hid, come in hidden by trees etc. stay exposed as little as possible, sit down or set up as quick as possible stay quiet etc etc. Just about any high pitched squeal can/will work. mattobertin Report post Posted August 7, 2008 There are a ton of coyotes down by oracle. I was archery deer hunting there a couple of years back when an ambulance blairing it's sirens drove down the highway and the yotes started howling from every direction! Out of all the places in Arizona I have been that is the best spot I have ever seen. Although I was in my garage the other morning around 6:00 when a coyote ran in between my driveway and my neighbors house! He was cruising through the orchards looking for some grub!
