Need Info on Kaibab deer check in

Hi guys ok I know its 90 days 18 hr 27 min and 30 seconds away but I have never hunted the Kaibab lets Just say i do shoot that 204 Inch "Rust Buck" do i need to present it at Jacob lake intact can I skin it and put a game bag on it. Can I leave the carcuss at butcher and bring the head back to the valley for taxidermy. PS any good refernces on butchers on the way back would be good info to thanks.

You can skin it and quarter it and bucher it youself if you want. You just have to check in the skull. At least thats what I had to do 5 years ago. I don't think I needed to have sex organs attached either since deer are identifiable with antlers. There will be sings on the way up to Kaibab around jacobs lake of where the deer check in is.

Last year during rifle we had to check it in, and they pulled the cheek apart to check for CWD. All they did was shoot a poloroid, and take my hunting license information, took only like ten minutes.

I got my bab buck last year processed at Caseys Processing on the North side of Flagstaff. He did a very good/clean job, the meat tastes incredible.

I was up there last year and my Dad and I pulled out a couple of nice deer if you think a 27 inch spread is nice! All you have to do is pull into the check out station and check the teeth and take a picture. Very simple and takes about 10 mins.
