thunderbolt Report post Posted August 2, 2008 3 days ago i was on my way back to work from tucson. 2 minutes from work, i passed a atv rollover that had just happened 3 minutes before i got there. There was a girl on the floor with blood coming from somewhere on her head. A gentleman was holding the girls head while many bystanders were watching. The girl was unconscious. A lady, who was a nurse, was on the phone with 911 and was relaying instructions. As i was running to the scene i was summoned by the gentleman that was with the girl. When i got there we were instructed to roll her on her side. The girl was barely breathing and choking on her blood. We held her on her side till the ambulance got there. Another nurse monitered her pulse. Seconds before the ambulance got there, we lost the pulse. so the ambulance arrives, checkes her pulse, then quickly load her in the vehicle. 3 hours later i swing by the hospital to get any information. Family outside tell me they flew her to tucson. The next day i found out she didn't make it. Please be carefull out there guys!! Wear your helmets! I don't own any but i plan on getting some real soon. This opened my eyes! I went home and held my kids. Life is precious!!

TLH Report post Posted August 2, 2008 Amanda, This is a very sad story and one that should be read. As for your question--no i do not and i always use the reasoning that i only run my quad about 20 miles an hour max--but at 250 pounds and 30 miles an hour all you have to do is do the math to find out what kind of chance i would have if i were to hit a solid object head first. I suppose i should buy a couple for my quads--
