ruffcountry Report post Posted July 27, 2008 I ran across a new remington 700 adl synthetic chambered in 7mm Rem Mag on sale at clearance price of $325.00 . I must say I was tempted . I dont know that I need it , but hey , I dont have a rem or a 7 mag . What do you all think ? Good deal or no ? Can you gain anything over premium factory ammo by handloading ? firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted July 27, 2008 Thats about average for that make. Would make a great donor action for a .257 wby or the likes...

Hooked_on_Coues Report post Posted July 27, 2008 shoot it first and see what it would do. Some of those things shoot great. Wouldn't be worth messing with a good shooter for an extra 150 fps......
ruffcountry Report post Posted August 14, 2008 Well, I coundn't stand it and I bought the rifle , now I need a coues tag . C'mon Leftover.
firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted August 14, 2008 You will be pleased with the gun. I would shoot a 140 Accubond or 140 TSX and call it good!
ruffcountry Report post Posted August 14, 2008 I haven't shot her yet but she sure feels good to hold . I dont handload and I really like the hornady light mags in my 06 , so I was thinking about trying the heavy mags SST 139 gr.
Couesnut Report post Posted August 14, 2008 I have a 700 ADL syn/ kevlar I bought 15 yrs ago. I love it, tack drivin, coues killin machine, right out of th box. I've done some custom work over the years. Trigger, Bore lapping, crowning, P bedding. BLA, BLA Mine shoots Frederal Premiums 165 gr Sierras best. But some others shoot almost as well. GOOD CHOICE. BASS Report post Posted August 15, 2008 I love my A-bolt 7mm mag, and I love the 700 actions, sounds like you have a pretty sweet little gun! The 7mm is my main coues and elk gun, although I'm "training" a .300WM right now.
ruffcountry Report post Posted August 15, 2008 Ouch , I hadn't checked ammo prices lately , $50+ for a box of the hornady's. I may have to learn to load .
Red Rabbit Report post Posted August 15, 2008 You might consider the Federal Fusions of the Federal blue box Classics for less expensive ammo that usually shoots well and is good on deer. Metal prices sure have driven ammo, brass and bullet prices up in the last year. RR
