az_runner Report post Posted December 28, 2020 I was chasing a really nice buck in 17B last week that was pushing a large group does. The big guy jumped units right into a non-hunt unit and onto private land. He stood broad side to me 40 yards out for probably 15minutes... I'm almost certain they were laughing at me. 1
Coffeeman Report post Posted December 29, 2020 I was just on the other side of 69 from frontier village in Prescott today and watched a really nice buck with a big kicker point on his left antler pushing a doe. It was snowing pretty good and the pair were making traffic back up a little
buglethemin Report post Posted December 29, 2020 Tough muzzy hunt this year. Way different then my 2015 muzzy hunt but I was able to get my good bud on a decent buck. In over 10 days hunting hitting different units we only seen 5 bucks. All without does and 0 rut activity. Got this guy yesterday all by his lonesome. Not too bad for his first buck Good luck to the rest of muzzy hunters. 12
Born2hunt Report post Posted December 29, 2020 Watched a bedded buck get up to check a doe, then left. Central AZ units don’t seem to have any rut going for me yet. Lots of does though. Good luck on your muzzy tag!
lefty Report post Posted December 30, 2020 Saw a rutting mule deer yesterday, also saw whitetail does by themselves and my wife shot an 80-85" whitetail that was with 2 does, I think things are just getting started in unit 21 anyways 9

Edge Report post Posted December 30, 2020 In 20A seeing some does, no boys no horn porn out here in God's Country. Had a doe at 20 yards yesterday, I think she liked the smell of my juniper soap.

This one is CLEARLY a hybrid. It's antlers are even 50/50 1 4
Big Tub Report post Posted December 30, 2020 I say regular MD. Most of the mulies down where I have hunted for the past 20 yrs have spindly 3 pts on both sides with eyeguards.

Hard to say what influences characteristics from one area to another.
