Looking for vortex venom red dot

Anyone have one they want to sell before i buy one.

I had one and didn’t like it.  I sold it.  Have you looked at holosun or trijicon?

A couple things....

it has an on/off switch that takes a moment to engage.  If someone busts into my house with a weapon, I don’t want to fumble with a switch. The holosun has shake awake.  Basically, if you pick it up, it turns on.  Also, the holosun has solar back up.  So if you’re battery is dead, as long as a light is on, you are good to go.  
but the worst thing was I dropped my gun, and the venom crushed the housing so bad it was useless.  While vortex replaced it, I don’t think this is combat worthy.  
the housing on the holosun is beefy, looks like it could take serious abuse.

my buddy got a trijicon rmr, and the sight window is a bit better than my holosun.  Not sure if holosun has better options or not.

i would say the venom is good for range use, but not enough for edc, or realistic tactical situations.

Holosun 507c all the way.  Unless you want to drop twice the price on a Trijicon.

I really like the circle dot on the Holosun too.  I have shot jackrabbits at 100+ with mine on my G19 & G19x.

Lance. Is the red dot really dark?  Im color blind and some small Light red dots really hard for me too see.

Ya the holosun does come in green and my buddy that is color blind loves it cause he  can't see red. I have the trijicon rmr and a holosun 507c v2 and I like my holosun better. I think the window on the holosun is bigger and easier to see thru. I bumped my glock off the island and it landed upside down right on the holosun and I don't even see a mark on it. They are pretty robust. I personally like the holosun better. Just my opinion.
