Jennifer Martin and Sue Chilton have both served as commissioners.  Jennifer had a biology background and may have worked for the department at one time and Sue Chilton is a rancher just outside of Arivaca.

Frances Werner, as well. Her husband was an entomology professor at UofA, and she had a masters in zoology. She died in 2016

Jennifer was a pretty open minded and a very smart lady from the get go and listen to what fishermen were saying. I have lot of respect for her. I met and talked with her about a dozen times, mainly regarding the fisheries.

she was one who knew when she was being bullshitted by over zealous bass fishermen.

Ah yes.  A knee jerk reaction to the complaints of non hunters that do mostly nothing to fund conservation effort that hunters and anglers have been carrying for years  Makes sense.

People want to see wildlife but have no idea who pays for wildlife.

Might be good to let her see how the department really works and where all the funding comes from and if she gets to far out of line she gets out voted 4-1.
