tjhunt2 Report post Posted July 18, 2008 Scout'em.....congratulations to you and the wife on your first. You got a gun and she got sparklers. I thought they were illegal here in Az. Sounds like you're off to a great future with the better half. TJ

scoutm Report post Posted August 2, 2008 I’ve been slowly breaking in the new gun and man is she a shooter. This was how I ended my day. This group is the best so far. I’ve had several close to this but this is the first where all shots are touching. I can’t wait to put some premium ammo through her. This was done with the cheapest stuff I could find. I've ordered the scope I'm going to have on her - it should be here soon. At that point I will get her dialed in at 2" high at 100 yards. I've never been so excited about any of my rifles before. Red Rabbit Report post Posted August 3, 2008 Larry, With cheap factory ammo doing that, you should be all smiles and giving your wife a few extra hugs. No need to think about fire-lapping the barrel. What was the flavor of ammo that did this group? RR
Kilimanjaro Report post Posted August 3, 2008 From the looks of that first pic, it looks like you've taken to showering with your new toy as well!!! Now Larry, we all know new guns are fun and all, but dude, there's a time and place for all that fun!! Showering with it isnt going to help out your groupings any! I've tried to convince the wife that the rifle would make the perfect piece of art to be displayed there but she's not buying it.

What was the flavor of ammo that did this group? RR Doug - I don't remember exactly what ammo it is. It's made by Federal and it's 180 grain soft point. All I really know it was the least expensive of all the ammo I had to choose from. Larry
