I used to love to hunt 30a for whitetail but my son is getting older now and I dont want to take him down there. I am afraid we will run into smugglers, illegals or who knows what.

Being a round-boy that usually hunts by myself - I worry about getting hurt/having a heart attack/bit by snake etc. I always let my wife know where I am and what time to expect me home.

I always have plenty of water, but I did do an August bear hunt with DesertBull where I didn't bring enough water (lots left in the truck). It was 100 degrees or better and he was dragging my fat arse all over the place. I thought I was going to be one of those guys you see on the news, air lifted out of a canyon because of dehydration! We did see bears though, so it was a great hunt, overall!

I thought I was probaly the only one that ever encountered one but it's got to be the banjo pickers . I had parked in an empty but obviously used camping area and then climbed the mountain .While glassing on the mountain I had seen a truck and horse trailer across the flats . I didnt pay much attention to it but when I got back to my truck that afternoon the truck with horse trailer was nearby , the horse was on a pickett line , and some ole boy was on a dirty sofa picken a banjo . I kept my rifle in hand till I could get in my truck and get out of there. This is a true story I swear .

I forgot to mention this was a couple years ago on the first day of my first coues deer hunt.

Coming from Northern AZ, the absolute scariest thing i have ever encountered are skinwalkers. I rarely get scared at anything, ever. But me and my brother were out camping and hunting muleys on the navajo reservation and we were camped back up in this little canyon. Well, soon as we climbed in for the night, the weirdest cries, screams, rustling, noises were coming from that canyon. I will never go back there as long as I live. Me and my brother won't even mention the incident. It's one of those things you just don't talk about. I rarely even say the word skinwalker. Bottom line, scared the living crap out of me.

Talking javelina scare me.....

I got me one a them talkin javelina last year , found it(or maybe it found me)in a canyon in the babs. It told me that if I would kiss it , it would turn into a beautiful princess . I loaded her in the truck , took her home and put her in the back yard . She said aren't you gonna kiss me so I can turn into a beautiful princess ? I said ,no, I think I would rather have a talkin javelina.  :P
