I went last month or so and shot a nice axis buck. Best meat I’ve ever eaten. Killed a pile of hogs too which are good.

I’m hungry, so I spent most of the day researching meat hunts. $2200 to shoot a cow buffalo in texas. Doesn’t seem too bad. I looked up buffalo backstrap for sale, basically $50 a pound.

What does a buffalo roughly weigh? You would get a lot of meat.

Yeah, Texas seems to be the place to go! Before I posted this I googled ranches in Texas and old posts here. All are a far drive and pry to late to book this year. Store bought meat will cost way less but I would love to eat only wild meat for a year. I’d make the drive if the hunt and my work coincided.

No clue. But I would think even a small one would have a good amount of meat

I see white tail does $300 axis does 500 or something like that

And all those places will usually offer unlimited hogs. Some of the best ribs and pork butts I’ve smoked were from them. I go at least 2 times a year.
