Basser15 Report post Posted July 7, 2008 Wish I would have thought to take a "As they lie" picture as one was lying on top of the other. Both are broken off at the same spot between the second and third tines and appear to be from the same bull. They look to be a couple seasons old, and have remnants of velvet still remaining. Have a look
SilentButDeadly Report post Posted July 7, 2008 I'd guess that bull died and animals chewed the skull and pedicals away... kind of the opposite of this one where only the tips were chewed off... btw, the date was off on that camera, it was more like 7/23/2007.... Basser15 Report post Posted July 7, 2008 Nate, that's where I found it from We were out for a ride and had some elk run across in front of us, and when I was looking at them through the binos I saw the tines sticking up. And the theory of the animals chewing it up does sound like it could be right as there was a skeleton close by.
