Preseason Pics

Recommended Posts

I like to start going out this time of year and see what is running around, where they are running around and of course see if my drops from last years missed montster is still laying around. Oddly enough (not this year) I found a nontypical drop tine set of drops within 10 feet of each other two years in a row.

Heres a few pics of what I was able to take. We saw a few WT bucks, a few mulie bucks and about a dozen Doe last Saturday.

and of course, if anyone knows 36b or travels it much this Duramax has been sitting way out in the middle of no where since around January. oddly enough unmolested (guess no one really goes out there) It could not make it back up a hill and obviously broke a tie rod. Then the driver must have hiked out :o

owner probably then quit paying on the truck and there is a repo guy somewhere looking for it, that or reported it stolen. With the price of diesel it just may stay there for a while.

I am guessing on he got stuck, walked out, reported it stolen. It is 100 feet north of the border.

It has been there at least since Jan/Feb

Nothing had been stripped from it at that time.

How long does it have to be there before being considered abandoned?

Desertbull - that's what I was wondering! I'm sure by now the guy has already gotten his insurance check. Time to go pull it out - I'm your huckleberry!

I'll bet ya dollars to dimes that that truck is stolen, and was loaded with dope, broke down, and they transfered the load.

I GER-ON-TEEEE it!!

There's a number of them scattered south of the Sierritas in 36A.

That shell for a short bed? Would look mighty fine with a paint job atop my old mans Dodge holding all our campin gear in it!

Is it south of Bartlett mountain? I think i remember seeing an old abanded white truck down there in Dec. but never got close enough to see what it was. I killed a mountain lion not 200 yards from it.

Yep...its stolen....that's where (near the border) my brother's truck was found after his got stolen and he got a new one. I would be careful fixing it up and driving it out of there...try explaining that one when you get stopped...
