cohofishing Report post Posted July 5, 2008 Hi, Just bought the wincherster model 70, 300 wsm, stainless. Great looking gun. Anyone else own one? Haven't shot it yet, and I'm wondering what anyone else thinks. I sure like the size and if it shoots, it's going to replace my browning A-bolt 300 win mag for my coues gun. singleshot Report post Posted July 6, 2008 I bought a model 700 for my son for high school graduation. The factory winchester 180's, power points shot great. We have reloaded some 165's in Nosler ballistic tips, and Remington core lokt's as well as 150 grain Hornady SSt's. Everything shoots really good. If you handload be careful of the case overall length. The 700 has a really short magazine and we had to reseat everything to below the C.O L. in the manuals. Great caliber!!! Hooked_on_Coues Report post Posted July 6, 2008 I had one that shot very well. I used factory Winchester supreme ammo with 150 gr ballistic silvertips. Usually shot under an inch. Good luck....
jwr570 Report post Posted July 6, 2008 I bought a Model 70 300WSM (Blue) last year. I am very impressed with how it shoots with factory ammo. You can't go wrong with it.
