Art20 Report post Posted September 11, 2020 I'm looking at rangefinders for my bull elk hunt & have 2 that I'm contemplating. Does anyone have opinions on what they use or the Vortex Ranger 1800 or Leupold RX-1600 models? I'm leaning towards Vortex for lifetime warranty but both have good reviews. zackcarp Report post Posted September 11, 2020 I have the 1800, its hit and miss on objects passed 1500 yards. When it uses the calculated angles setting, it doesn't seem to reach targets past 900 yards. I have ranged objects out to 2400. Just depends on lighting and such.
