Orezonan Report post Posted September 10, 2020 Hi all, New to the site, I wish I had found it years ago but didn't expect there to be this much elk talk on a Coues site! My nephew and I have 22N late rifle tags. We aren't exactly new to the unit, we've hunted it twice before, and we've had boots on the ground a few times already this summer and are headed back out this Saturday for an over-nighter. Both times we hunted it before we had my dad with us, which made for amazing trips, but at his age and mobility we were limited in how far we could get off the roads. After the last hunt he decided it was time to hang it up so this year it's just me and my nephew hunting together. It's hard to imagine a hunt without him there, but at the same time we can't wait to get the heck away from all the trucks and UTVs! If anyone with knowledge of the unit has interest in letting me pepper them with questions on areas, trails, access points, and ways to get away from motorized hunters, I'm more than happy to pay in beer, or info on hunting Oregon Muleys! I can name drop the places we've had boots on the ground so far if that helps. Not looking for animals this time of year just trying to learn the lay of the land and confirm glassing points to add to OnX.
eddielasvegas Report post Posted September 11, 2020 I cannot help with 22N, but I'd like to extend to you a laurel (virtual, of course), and hardy handshake (again, virtual) and say welcome to CWT. Eddie

Orezonan Report post Posted September 11, 2020 Nobody likes getting catfished....especially on hunting tips. I'll stick around and let you guys know how it goes. I was able to get the whole week of the hunt off work so if nothing else I'll come back with stories of hiking through and around every nasty canyon we can find. 2 1
