How do you like that 4 door model? We had a 2-door and liked it a lot. The wifey complained that she need an industrial think bra because of the ride. I would think that the longer wheel base would be more comfortable.

well did you have a two door older style jeep pre 07? Jeeps are not caddys that is the first thing alot of people cannot not understand. They are designed to be rugged off road vehicles. However..... With the 07-09 Jeep JKs both the 2 door and 4 door got a redesign (and invented) for the 4 door. What gives the Jeeps a rough ride is the short control arms. Older Jeeps can overcome this with a long arm suspension kit which really makes the ride nice. The JK 07-09 Jeep Wranglers have a much longer arm stock. SO much so that the ride is very very nice. Smoother then my dodge Ram pickup. A standard lift will not provide a bad ride as the arms are long enough to provide a cush ride with the correct geometry.

Whenever I am down she can take mine out for a spin. Very very smooth ride.

Thanx for the reply--

We had an '03 and she has a couple of others in her younger days before we got attached--long story for another day. A rough ride off road is fully expected--like--as you say--they are designe for off road 1st--hiway 2nd. Her big objection was the really rough hiway ride. It was her vehicle for everyday use. Not the comfort level she desired. We wouldn't be into really nasty offroading or rock climbing, but I do tend to get into some pretty bad places in my 4 x 4 Chevy truck.

We have an RV and I hate towing my truck when I know we will be in area that I can do some scouting--so the Jeep is perfect. Especially being towable 4 down. Sounds good if it is a little better on the hiway as far as the ride goes.

I'll get her out to test drive one--Thanx for the offer--let me know --BOB
