hunterofcoues Report post Posted July 2, 2008 My wife and I were in a celebratin' mood and decided to spend a 5 day weekend up in British Columbia enjoying the countryside. We were up there during one of their "sunbreaks" and were able to get out and hike into some beautiful areas. Every night we would glass the hillsides/skislopes behind our hotel. We saw as many as 7 different bears per evening, as few as 2. I did not bring my tripod, but was able to sneak up on a few and get a few long distance shots by balancing the binocs on a post. The last shot shows the aerial view of 2 bears feeding below the ski lift. Only two more years before I return to Arizona from Oregon. I miss those mornings glassing for coues. Good luck to everyone on the fall hunts, I am jealous... On the bright side, I'm hunting for Roosevelt elk and blacktails this fall, with a Snake River Canyon muley hunt as well. Now if I can find some spare change in the couch to get one of them British Columbia bear hunts.
