Scraping a boat with no title?

getting a 12' aluminum boat. (Thanks Lance).

 

My buddy and I are planning on putting it on a trailer. We found a good donor trailer on craigslist. It comes with a POS boat, neither trailer nor boat have a title.

How can we scrap the boat, and then title the trailer?

Scrap the boat at the dump off of the 87. Shouldn't cost too much. Or list it for free on CL/OfferUp.

For the trailer, you're probably going to have to file for an abandoned title. Which is kind of a pain in the arse. But without the trailer title, that might be your only option.

Take the boat to the scrap yard off miracle mile. Go to dmv and re-register the trailer. But honestly if the trailer already has perm tags I wouldn’t mess with it. Unless your asked to.
