Couestracker Report post Posted August 26, 2020 Surprised and saddened to find a young 2x2 coues buck dead at the edge of our secret swim hole. Must have slipped on the rocks and broke it's neck. No visible wounds, think it happened this morning. Was still chewing flora, as it was sticking out the side of his mouth. I took it up and over the ridge.

trphyhntr Report post Posted August 26, 2020 This is why I can’t take coues deer hunting seriously. They can’t even drink without possibly killing themselves. 1
My Rights As An American Report post Posted August 26, 2020 Is this like the movie Airplane? Did this deer have a drinking problem?

Mule deer are a much bigger challenge. The way they freeze and stare at you when you come up on them makes it so hard to stay calm and make a clean shot. Coues are so dang touchy they bolt at anything, dang hate those shots at running bucks.
