Arboreal rattlesnake, sort of

Recommended Posts

Friend sent me this last night. This guy was a few feet off the ground and next to a trail. Two others found in same area and one of them was also off the ground. Not fleeing but just quietly resting. Some people have all the luck!

And the one on the trail

I never knew.. Some rattlesnakes do actually show arboreal tendencies. The timber rattlesnake, the real one, not the ones people mistakenly call "timbers" out here, seems to exhibit it more than others but dang...  Going to have to look up a bit more now during the summer hunts in the mornings..

I believe Tiger is the correct flavor.

It's basically Superstition Mtn! I have a GPS location and will be going out there soon. I have never found one before.
