bigorange Report post Posted July 17, 2020 Saw this on Cool Tools email this week...could be handy to have in the first-aid when the Havalon gets away. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01LWC10SL/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_vAFeFbTPV54BT
AZDirtyTaco Report post Posted July 17, 2020 I'm afraid if I got one that I would find myself a little too enthusiastic to start Frankensteining my pals. I would cringe a hellova lot less watching my buddies use those Havalon's knowing that every time that sucker comes apart, opportunity awaits!
AzDiamondHeat Report post Posted July 17, 2020 I have one in every first aid kit. Also have sutures, quick clot and super glue. And tampons and pads. Hope to never have to use ANY of it. 3

muledeerarea33? Report post Posted July 18, 2020 Tampons and pads saved a friend of mines life once. Along with duct tape. Also midol works great for mean hang overs! Don’t knock the woman products, you might need them one day.

n2horns Report post Posted July 18, 2020 I had a buddy stick himself with a havalon, I ended up working on 2 deer and him. Puncture was just a smidge wider than the blade is wide, about 1/2 inch deep. Ended up cleaning it out, butterfly bandages, a couple 3x3 gauze pads, and wrapped it with some vet tape. You can do a lot with a little and just be resourceful, but I do carry pads for trauma bleeds.
