Added wife’s homemade slaw and my homemade bbq sauce. sauce is as follows 2 cups catchup “guessing cuz I don’t measure” 1/4 cup vinegar of choice 3 tbsp wershtershister 3 tbsp lemon juice plus zest 1/4 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup white sugar 3 tbsp corn syrup 3 tbsp honey 2 tsp powdered mustard 2 tsp powdered onion 2 tbsp your favorite bbq rubb “r butts are smokin” sprinkle of red pepper flakes 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

MULEPACKHUNTER Report post Posted June 25, 2020 Brisket I rubbed with R butts are smokin rub and put in fridge overnight. I trimmed fat for burger grind and vacuum sealed. Trimmed whole brisket into point and flat. On smoke for first hour in natural wood smoker With propane back up. 225 for 11 hours or until 165 internal. “ pulled the flat 1 hour before the point and wrapped. Set it aside until the point hit 165. wrapped both tight with foil then back on propane heat at 275 for another 2 hours or so until internal hit 205. “Again pulled flat sooner than point” wrapped both in towels and put in cooler for 1 hour before slicing and serving to my wife and the dog. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I'm jealous This was a big thing her family did growing up. She busted her but getting up early every morning with me and the boys to do a roof coating job in tombstone. It was hot and miserable.
