longbowpilot Report post Posted June 11, 2020 Anyone fished Ashurst lake recently? Taking another trip up to Flagstaff next weekend taking 4 kids ages 11, 7, 5 and 2 fishing. longbowpilot Report post Posted June 23, 2020 Fished Ashurst this past Saturday morning with my kids and my nephew. Action on garlic Chartreuse powerbait was pretty much non-stop. They would not hit anything else. Was able to land six fish in 3 hours (prob. could have landed a lot more but between re-rigging from all the snags my kids had I personally only fished for about 5 minutes haha). Place was absolutely packed with people camping. Extremely crowded and dumpsters overflowing everywhere, razors and quads racing up and down the roads.
