Goldfinger78 Report post Posted June 7, 2020 Decided to try something a bit different with the turkey I harvested this spring. This recipe is similar to the dove bites that have been posted on here a few times. 1. Dice turkey breast into approximately 1.5 inch cubes. 2. Season with cayenne pepper, chili powder, granulated garlic, salt, pepper, and olive oil. 3. In a separate bowl melt butter and mix with brown sugar. Set aside for later. 4. Wrap seasoned turkey cubes with a slice of jalapeno in bacon. (Hold together with toothpicks) 5. Grill on low heat until bacon is almost done. 6. Once bacon appears to be almost done use a brush to baste the melted butter and brown sugar on the bites. Make sure and keep the temp on low and watch the grill since the sugar can burn easily. The butter and sugar will start to caramelize on the grill. 7. Once the bites are caramelized it's time to add your choice of BBQ sauce on the bites or you can serve BBQ sauce on the side and enjoy. Pretty happy with the results. Turned out delicious!!! Lots of layers of flavor between the sweet and hot ingredients.
