Monster coues bucks

Recommended Posts

I held my Buck from the time I shot it until I got it back to Arizona and to the taxidermy. I am sure when I get it back from Chris I will hold it everyday the rest of my life. Ha Ha...

Jim, you would know what the record coues is I'm sure. I'm confused here at all these bucks in the 130 to 160 class. Do these really exist and why aren't they in the record book. I guess I have a lot to learn about these big bucks.

Wow,

TJ

TJ, I think the main thing with that is you are only hearing what the Gross score is.....the Net score which counts for the books is rarely mentioned. Also the tape stretchers do their best at turning a good buck into a great buck all the time. There are the ones that just don't get entered too and there are a bunch of those out there. Lastly, there is a long time between printed record books and the big critters killed lately and entered just haven't been printed yet.

I would too.....lucky dog! I can't get enough of just looking at the photos of that beauty......couldn't imagine actually owning it, I'd hold it so much I'd have the color rubbed right off that rack by now! LOL!

We had a meeting for the Arizona Trophy Book about a month ago and i was looking at the Coues entries--all of them were over 100" but the biggest three were killed in the October hunt--makes me want to hunt in October instead of December. I think there were 5 entries this year--4 from October and the last from December.

I can tell you that none of them were bigger than 115"

A little off topic but i thought it was interesting.

That is a helluva buck, Dan! Thanks again for sharing him with us all.

I feel very fortunate to have held more racks over 120" than I can count on both hands, and a few of them were over that 130" mark..... it is truely humbling.

I know one thing...... When you do glass or see a true monster (over 120") if you don't start trembling all over you don't know what your lookin' at!!! ;)  Cuz, I go to peices, shakin'!

I Love Big Racks!!!!! ;)
