COOSEFAN Report post Posted June 5, 2008 I've never kept count, but after spending ALOT of time in Mexico, having a best friend who owns a taxidermy studio, and having friends that have found or whacked monster Coues bucks.......I've held a couple. The biggest I've held was a rack that is sitting in a small shop which is actually the local gun club down in Obregon, Mexico. I never had a chance to run a tape on it and nobody knew it's score but I figured it had to be 160-170"....... it is a non-typ with multiple long tines on each side. I also spent a little time in a small taxidermy shop in Mexico that would blow you guys away! There were piles of antlers and racks and everyone was laughing at me 'cause I was so excited to sort through em'........ my idea of what a monster buck is changed that day
firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted June 5, 2008 Jim, were you able to take any pictures of that 160-170 I was hearing about while we were down there?
COOSEFAN Report post Posted June 5, 2008 Jim, were you able to take any pictures of that 160-170 I was hearing about while we were down there? I took a camera and a tape with me one day while in town to do just that but didn't make it in time. There were a couple Muleys there that the world would probably like to know about also! tjhunt2 Report post Posted June 6, 2008 Jim, you would know what the record coues is I'm sure. I'm confused here at all these bucks in the 130 to 160 class. Do these really exist and why aren't they in the record book. I guess I have a lot to learn about these big bucks. Wow, TJ
