GameHauler Report post Posted June 4, 2008 Maybe this is the work of a GOOD IT guy If this bill passed and it is BS we have a good tool to discredit the founders and get it over turned. Hard to give a tree a good hug with only one arm

GameHauler Report post Posted June 4, 2008 Well DB maybe we should compare the mailing lists we are on Get after it Tony. Make your contacts and let us know.
DesertBull Report post Posted June 4, 2008 I also did not receive the e-mail. What the so-called "Cap and Trade" provisions of this thing will do to our already troubled economy is awful! Our friends in the list of supporters are blind-sided by the prospects of a new funding source for wildlife. Bill Exactly. They sold out.
curmudgen Report post Posted June 4, 2008 Before we get too hot about this. let's let Tony, or someone else who is able, check on its authenticity. As we know, much of the stuff on the internet is phony. Jack
Outdoor Writer Report post Posted June 6, 2008 Okay, here's the scoop on the "Cap & Trade" email. The AZ G&FD is a member of the Teaming with Wildlife Coalition via its membership in the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies. As such, it receives periodic updates on issues, funding, etc. and often forwards them along as FYI emails, as was the case with this one. Unfortunately, the template being used makes it appear that the content is something AZ G&F endorses, which it can't legally do when it comes to political issues such as that provided in this particular email. The game commision has no such constraints in this regards, however. That said, my contact at G&F said they will probably be revamping the template and will better explain the purposes in the future. They will also keep a closer watch on forwarded contents so as not get into the middle of any politcal issues. In other words, this one was a bit of a screw-up that shouldn't happen again. -TONY

Unfortunately, it probably will be back after the elections. Bill Quimby
