Ringer Report post Posted May 14, 2020 Fished Powell Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Caught 50, 51 and 53. All SM plus one small LM and one walleye. Hit by a huge storm Sunday at 2:30 and almost died. 5 to 6' waves in the channel and my Champion speared one of them and filled the boat with water. I turned around and went with the wind to a cove and changed into rain gear and hid out for an hour. Died down to 3' waves and 3 miles later the prop hub spun on me. Went into a cove and backed her in and put my spare prop on. The Merc 250 got us back in good shape after that. Glad I had the spare prop and a new bilge pump. All good and a fun trip. The biggest SM were 2.90, 2.80, 2.76 and 2.26. 4

Ringer Report post Posted May 14, 2020 Not going to be a great year for water but there is plenty in there to get lost every day. 🙂 Much better quality fish this year and they puked up a lot of shad and crawdads.

Traveler Report post Posted May 19, 2020 Scary! Nice report and good to hear the fish are benefitting from the record shad spawn last year. Lake Powell is awesome but has lots of hazards Glad you are ok!
