I know this is old but, Mogollan Rim Taxidermy is the best in the state IMO. I have had mounts (elk &deer) other places, and no one compares to Clay.

As a rule,  taxidermists are some of the shadiest businessmen around. I've been hosed by more taxiderimists than any other trade,  by a large margin.

Go with someone who has been in business a while and can show you good work.  It's typical for them to take on more work than they can do. I have a mule deer at Mark Miller's right now. He's been around a long time.

Absolutely. Superstition Creations/ Michael Scott in mesa. Told Me and my Dad that his freezer went out and everything spoiled and he threw them out. Two javalina, One giant sized cotamudai, and a 180 plus muley 5x5. Never returned money or anything. My Dad just beat his a$$

Appreciate the referrals!  There's definitely a pattern with the references.

I'm in the North Valley, but I don't mind driving, considering getting mounts done is a long term deal.

Troy at Authentic is a great guy and does great work - located in Paulden so easy drive out of the valley for you on the North side. Happy to share his work if you would like to see any.

A Head of the Game Taxidermy.  I have known Mike Vacarro for over 30 years and he does a great job.  He has done all of our mounts and one more on the way.  I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
