IHunt2live Report post Posted May 25, 2008 I have a cheep Stealth Cam that I got new off ebay for about $50. I like it for a few reasons, 1 its cheap so if/when it get stolen it wont hurt as bad, 2 its a 12v so I have it hocked up to a car battery, 3 uses the common/cheap compact flash cards. Nt the nices set up but it takes pics. Because I have it set up with a car battery right by my father-in-laws cabin I have it up year round. Sure you might not get good pics of bucks but theres plenty of other animals. got a pic of a lion and I know there was a bear in that area since I last check it so we will see if I cought him. I think we will be using some at work this summer, a brand I never herd of. I'll see how they work and let you all know.
TAM Report post Posted May 26, 2008 I'm going out tomorrow to set out a few of my cameras. I like to get them set after memorial day because there will be fewer people in the field to find them, and also because deer really haven't grown enough antler until mid june to start telling if they are shooters or not. I'll probably leave them out for at least 2-3 weeks.

TAM Report post Posted May 27, 2008 I set up three cameras yesterday and found five brown elk sheds to boot! The weird thing is that I found all five of the sheds at three different dirt tanks just laying there out in the open. Oh, and for what it's worth the elk sheds are all dinks. Three small rags and two spikes.
Browning'sCustomMeat Report post Posted June 3, 2008 Well, I went and set up my camera again and there has been tons of action in the area. The deer, elk, javi's and we even came across a lion track. My boy was really excited to see one it was his first lion track so of course we took a picture...... and so Cutter wanted to a picture of my hand print with Mr. Kitty's........ So now I wait for a week or so and see whats going on out there...... -J-
