TexasHunter Report post Posted May 21, 2008 I agree.. i HATE his stance on guns(and other things).... No argument there... About healthcare.... I work in the medical industry and one thing I do know is that our current system is very REACTIVE... In other words, we wait for someone to end up in the emergency room before we treat them and that is super expensive. We should be PRO-ACTIVE and prevent the issues(cheaper) before they become serious... And yes I know I will end up paying for it because I am a single, no kids and make pretty good money... but if done right it might be cheaper in the end.... I agree that the health care system needs "fixed" but i dont think the social medicine is the answer. The doctors should be able to make decisions based there experience and what they believe is wrong or what they believe will help the patient the most not based on what the ppo or hmo will allow or pay for. No program the govnmt gets involved with becomes cheaper or easier. they will complicate it even more. Not to mention the amount of people who are going to try to dip into healthcare funds. .270 Report post Posted May 21, 2008 9-11 happened because of 8 years of head-in-the-sand politics by clinton. period. so did millions of genocide deaths all over africa and eastern europe. millions died for no reason other than there last name or what side o' the street they lived on and clinton didn't even so much as pay attention to it. so did the dot com fiasco. aids ran rampant all over africa also. terrorists bombed our embassies, our military bases, apartments where soldiers lived. and on and on. north korea, pakistan and india got the bomb, with technology clinton gave em. iran began their nuke build up under clinton. where do i even stop? 9-11 happened less than a year into W's first term. it devasted out economy. it went from around 10,000 on the dow jones down to what, 2,000 or so. where is it now? over 12,000. it's a little wobbly, but it's a money makin' son of a gun if you have any brains. we have not had not 1, not 1 dang terrorist attack on American soil or an American installation, outside of the warzone since 9-11. not one. dozens, that we know about, have been thwarted. and all because W had the nuts to take the war to them and fight an offensive battle and not sit around and try to stop them here. W has done more stop aids in africa than anyone ever has. do you ever hear anything about that? our economy, contrary to what dem's want to say, is in excellent condition. his little tax cut has been even more effective than Reagan's. but all the dem's wanna do is raise taxes and re-instate capital gains taxes. gas is high, but we're still less than europe, and if our hugger controlled congress would let us drill the gulf, california and anwar, gas would drop like a lead weight. just the threat of drilling would force opec to increase production. i'm not even gonna get in hugo chavez and his effect on gas prices. north korea's nuke program is done. all it was for, was to get us to give them money to quit, but W stuck to his guns and let it fizzle on it's own. we have a pretty good relationship with pakistan and india now, so i'm not sure where to feel about that. the afghan and iraq war are a big deal. too bad we have to be there, but we do, and it's gonna get worse. because of 8 years of hand-sittin' by clinton and the fact that W ain't gonna be in office anymore. whoever isnext is gonna be a joke and listen to polls instead of doing what is right. say all you want about weapons of mass distruction. if saddam would have allowed the UN inspectors to do what they were there for, he's still be president today. even if they didn't have them, who cares, he was the biggest threat to world peace at the time. i'm real dissapointed in the illegal alien mess. that hasn't been handled well at all and it is going to get real bad soon. wait and see. nobody running has any desire for a fix other than amnesty. wait and see what that does to the economy. say what ya want about W, but with what he's had to deal with, he's done a fair job. too bad things happend the way they have, because i think we'd really be reaping some big dividends. if only clinton would have done anything, other than ride the wave that Reagan and even Bush's dad, started. we'd be in fat city. just because things are good ain't a reason to drop your guard. you can get by without maintaining your car for quit awhile, and then it will croak on ya. a country is the same way. war is rough stuff, but it is what keeps folks free. you don't stay free by negotiating with folks who say every day that they want to kill you. you stay free by killing them first. TexasHunter Report post Posted May 21, 2008 I always like the we pay less then europe argument on fuel. Europe has 0 refineries wich means all of the fuel they consume is imported and subjected to high taxes and terrifs not to mention the cost of shipping. We refine almost all of the fuel we use in america. Also explian to me why 75% of the oil produced in this country is exported? Why buy from opec when we could use our own oil. I do agree we should be able to drill for more oil here. Did you know that there is a substantial amount of shale oil in utah that the huggers wont let be proccesed. Supposidly enough to roduce some 3000 barrels a day for like 15 years. The rumor is that Mining it will have little envioromentel impact because it is all in the top soil. I do agree that now is the time to start drilling... but if nothing else this just goes to show that we will pay 4.50 a gallon so the oil companies have no reason to change... THEY NEED COMPETITION from some other source of energy... J-

KGAINES Report post Posted May 22, 2008 Lark you are right for the most part, India had the bomb in the early to mid seventies, but compared to what the U.S. and the Russians had they were best to just say they had it. It seems like some Presidents aren't regarded as to what they did until years and years later, for the most part nowdays every thing is party lines the democrats hate and disregard everything that the president and the republicans do and vice versa. I am a conservative, I like guns, I believe in taking care of myself, I get pissed when my money is taxed and used to take care of people that don't give a dang about me all they care about is their welfare and the medical coverage that they get for free, and when I look at the candidates that are thrown out there every few years from the democrats it seems that they are liberal, they are for taking my guns, and they want to take even more of my money to support people just to get votes and piss on the people that are actually paying the freaking taxes. I would vote for a conservative democrat if he or she was better than the republican, but now days conservative democrats don't exist, and if they do they will never be more that a small time politician because the democratic party does not want them. We live in the best country in the world and hopefully this party line bull crap don't ruin it. I could care less what someone calls themselves as far as democrat or republican, I don't give a crap whether it is a man, woman, I don't care about race, but they have to think like me before I will vote for them, the more they think like me and the more issues we agree on the better chance they will get my vote. wetmule Report post Posted May 22, 2008 I think you are right on Scotty, a wolf in sheepskin. If people in this country somehow elect this wacko to the highest office we're in deep doodoo IMO. People think the economy is bad now I have a feeling we ain't seen nothing if this guy gets in. The tax increases we'll see from this nut job will grind this economy to a complete halt, especially if the dems maintain a majority in congress. This guy doesn't have a CLUE!!! He said we have "57 States" ? he also said we need to put Arabic speaking people in Afghanistan, Hello! they speak Farsi in Afghanistan!! I can go on and on about all the blatant lies this guy has recently told. Tell us Barack O'Bummer just how are you going to unite this country when you can't even convince one man - your preacher & mentor of 20 years to stop hating this country or you can't convince your wife to find one thing about this country to be proud about. I'll tell you why you can't convince them - It's because you hold the same views. The sad and pathetic thing about this guy is the Media is soooo in the tank for this guy and they are heck bent on getting him in and unfortunately alot of people are drinking his KoolAid. Not Me. Jimmy Carter part two and worse is on the horizon if he makes it into office.

Lark. Lark, You are a man of many views..... and your Political views are DEAD ON!!! Thanks for putting so many of my thoughts in to your post! And you are one of the Few who I have met that understand why the Clinton Administration was such an Economic Boom! I think that is what has me the most worried... is, we are almost right back to the end of the Jimmy Carter era... in economics.... and no Ronnie Reagan to dig us out of this Hole!!!! We are in for heck..... Jamaro, I am not just sticking up for him..... I am sticking up for all of us against the Thin Skinned, Bra Burning Liberals, like you, that think that anything said off the cuff by a White Guy is Racist!!!! He said he didn't mean it to sound that way!!! So shut your dang Cake Hole about it... cuz I'm startin' to think you are a Racist!!!! The Cracker!
jamaro Report post Posted May 22, 2008 I trust don't obama either and I REALLY don't like any candidate and that is a drag.... McCain really concerns me on his stance with gun rights... We all know that he co-sponsored that bill with Liberman... So we know what kind of wolf we are getting with him.. BUT I think if Obama and McCain do get in then they will both try to work with the other side.... Regardless we really need to stand firm for Sportsman Rights.... McCain and Obama, Clinton and BUSH have done NOTHING for us... Huckabee was the only one who has a track record of helping us...
Kilimanjaro Report post Posted May 22, 2008 Jamaro, you're the Al Sharpton of our CWT community... always whining about how somebody hurt your feelings cuz somebody said something you didn't like, so you immediately throw in the "race, religion, creed, skin color, etc." towel for all to see.. Hate to burst your bubble, but that is what this country is based on. FREEDOM to say whatever the heck they want to, whenever they want to, to whoever they want to, however they want to! BTW, I don't care for Al Sharpton.. does that make me a racist?? Here's a perfect example of your "towel throwing"... I can plainly remember when you and I got into some pissing match over the illegal imm. problem, and without any provocation, you just HAD to throw it out there that you thought the BP were all a bunch of racists (at least the white BPA's) because you heard that BPA's call illegals "tonks".. The only reason you threw it out there was because everybody else was agreeing with my side and points of view, and you didn't like that one bit, so you tried the 'ol low ball tactic.. just like you are doing here, again. So remember, while you are completely free to say anything you want on here, (ya know, the whole US constitution thing), not everybody on here has to believe or care for your points of view. As they say, don't piss down my back and tell me it's raining..

About you being racist.. it depends... is it because AL is black or because of his views on life... I don't support Al Sharpton either... but it is not because of his color... unlike what 25-06 said... I never said ALL BP were racist... NEVER... So don't even try to put that in my court... Do I think some have too much testosterone? Yes, even you admitted to it... I think your exact words... "Don't remind me I have to work with some of these guys" BP has a tough job... I have a family member who is an agent in Douglas.... I wouldn't want to be in your shoes... All I can say is that we need to get this election OUT OF THE dang GUTTER and it should be about politics NOT someones name.... The repbulican party is really good at changing the subject.. AGAIN i will probably not even vote for him but based on his politics NOT his name... J-
