Isn't Nikon exiting the scope market. Who's going to service their warranty?

#2 - What about Nikon warranty and repair of scopes after they get out of the business?

Good question, and the Nikon rep I spoke with said that as far as he knew, Nikon was still planning on honoring any valid warranty on any Nikon scope.

While I never was a die-hard Nikon scope fan, this news is a shame as it means there will be one less brand of rifle scope models for shooters to choose from.

I currently dont have any Nikon's, but when I did no complaints. I had the one for sale here and was a great scope.

Weaver is also out and Bushnell covering all replacements of lifetime warranties. I believe they were purchased by or sister company Bushnell/Vista Outdoors

Millet went to Bushnell as well. Bushnell is purported to have lousy customer service.

The Nikon's I have I like, but now the lifetime warranty may be toilet paper. Does that affect value?

Bass Pro just had the Nikon P-223 on sale for $99.00, down from $199 list. Lowest I had found them on sale before was $129.99 plus shipping, and that was a great deal back then. So I had purchased 6. I could have save $180 if I had waited a year.

This whole Nikon and scope turmoil sucks.
