Jazz Report post Posted March 2, 2020 So there we are. Jerky time. Come across this.. not sure what it might be . I treat every javelina like it has trichanosis and we freeze them 90 days before they hit the dehydrator. any ideas?

Jazz Report post Posted March 3, 2020 You guys might be right. ive never had a pig tested- just went off what I’ve heard from others. There was a podcast on Meateater that said freezing for 90 would ensure it would die. The dehydrating process would certainly ensure it. it can’t hurt to do it anyways.. But what’s in that pic? Some kind of worm or other thing?
1uglydude Report post Posted March 3, 2020 Was it deep in the muscle, or sitting just under the skin?
