Colorado preference point question

I'm having a hard time finding the answer online so I thought I would just ask you guys. Can I buy a preference point in Colorado or do I have to apply and be unsuccessful in the draw? Thanks in advance for info

You can buy a preference point and apply for your 2 nd, 3 rd, and 4th choice. If you are drawn you dont lose your points. Also in order to enter the draw you must buy a habitat stamp. I think those are $10.

 Correct.   Starting 2019 you must buy a small game license to apply/get a bonus point.   But you could get just a bonus point during the draw period if you’d like.

Thanks for the info. I plan on going to their website today after work and researching. But if someone could answer one more question I would appreciate it. How much will it cost me overall just to get a preference point?
