That same thing happened to me over on the Navajo Resev. a few years back and I was lucky enough to see a bird just befor dark. I went to my truck and got a flashlight and followed his tracks to his roost and was there one hour before daylight standing in a foot of snow and caught him coming back out of the same thicket he went in on. He gobbled over 60 times before flying down and it was nerve racking to say the least. Hope you have more days to pursue a bird. Sometimes this weather gets these gobblers talking. Good luck!
