3D Shoot May 17&18 in Flagstaff

Recommended Posts

Forecast is for a pleasant 75 degrees this weekend for Flagstaff.

We will have some good door prizes, and will be raffling a Bowtech 101st Airborne bow, Bushnell Scout rangefinder with ARC inclinometer, and a bow case.

Novelty shoots will be a long shot and a smoker course.

Anyone from Tucson going to carpool up?

I should be manning the smoker course. Just look for an red-n-grey headed man with a GWP named Rica.

How did the shoot go? I was itching to go but couldn't make it, are there going to be any other shoots this summer besides the bowhunter happening and clints well?

ndaniel,

There were an estimated 200 shooters, which is not a bad turnout for the weekend before Memorial Day and gas/diesel prices climbing upward.

AZ402 stopped by and we had a good chat. Would like to be able to sneak off and shoot a course or two with y'all.

The next shoot Flagstaff Archers has is the Max Hamilton on July 19 & 20, at the same location at Willard Springs.

Doug, I had a great time shooting this weekend. I did not realize that was you there at the smoker course. My buddy and I drove up early sunday morning, and shot that course around noon. We paid at the registration table as your chair was empty...but I think you came by while we were shooting. For my first 3-d shoot I had a great time.

I think we will be up at clints well this weekend, wife and Lord willing.

It was a real nice shoot with great weather. It was nice to shoot the breeze with Doug for a little bit on both Saturday and Sunday. That was one of the better smokers I've shot in a while.

I'll miss Clints Well due to being out of town. I should make the Morman Lake shoot the 1st week of June and most other throughout the Summer. Hopefully I'll run into a few others CWT'ers out on the courses........

Here are a couple of the shots on the smoker course. I have always enjoyed smokers as the really make you concentrate, and think about or learn you arrow trajectory. My friend attributes his caribou to having shot smokers and learning to shoot through small windows.
