We shot this big billy in what we thought was a spot I could get to, turns out i was wrong and we had to call in an expert. He needed a second guy and rather than wait for him to find someone I volunteered. I’ve never had an issue with heights but this was completely different. 150’ climb up the backside and a 400’ rappel off the front side with the goat attached. I’ve never done it before obviously so I have nothing to compare it to and I asked the guy afterwards if it was that bad and he seemed to think it wasn’t a big deal.. Was the billy on it’s own rope or hanging off of you? Just the way the rope was rubbing against the rock in all those different spots and how your descender was hanging up and knocking you around.
