Squirrel n Dumplings Report post Posted December 30, 2019 Hi Folks! Looking for suggestions on a camping trip for my sons Spring break. Got a wife and a RV that will need full hookups and 6 and 4 year old that needs to go fishing! Where should we go? Still too cold for a lake above the rim? Thanks! bigj23 Report post Posted December 30, 2019 Go to Alamo lake. They have full hook ups and fishing is always good there. They also have a store for small needs. It will still be too cold for the rim.

Delw Report post Posted December 30, 2019 Whitehorse lake theres another one up there south of williams (popular one name slips my mind)as well with full hook ups. the you can take your truck and hit the other local lakes. lots of wildlife and lots of fish. plus williams is cool to have lunch or dinner in to give the kids a break. Alamo is good if and only if you have a BOAT, otherwise that time of there year your going to be playing keep away from the snakes theres tons of them out there that time of the year and right next to the shore line. with a 4 and 6 year old its going to be tough to keep them away from the bushs, both places you can yote hunt ;)

Doubt if they will have full hook-ups in March. They will still be winterized. forepaw

(Plus take your spinning rod and wander up to Las Conchas. Wade out when the tide is rolling-in and throw nice heavy Kast-Masters as far as you can & have fun!! S.
