az4life Report post Posted April 29, 2008 Too much time working so not much time sight seeing. Did get to a couple seafood places and the weathervane was a let down big time. Poor service and food was below par for what else I've had while here. Got down to the old town portland area and that is pretty neat. Historic shops and waterfront is a lot different than this desert dweller is used to. Lots of overcast and rain the last couple days so Planning to take a run to some light houses and whatever else I can cram in on Thursday AM before leaving. Thanks for all the advice and ideas. I've liked the "wicked "change in scenery but it's also gonna feel good to be home.

davis Report post Posted August 4, 2008 A fun way to spend whether you are a native or tourist and find yourself in the Portland area is to hop on Mainely Trolley Tours and enjoy the 90 minute narrative tour. You will learn all about Portland and its seafaring history about the trolley. A visit to one of Maine’s waterparks is a fun way to do something on a hot summer day.
