IHunt2live Report post Posted April 16, 2008 I finally broke down and got myself a new bow after shooting my old set up for about 10 years. It took finding a GREAT deal and a little convincing of my wife, she still hold it over my head though. Saved a few bucks and using my old sight and release for now. I'm looking at new releases and thought I would ask you all you opinions. What do you all use? I've been thinking about one with a cord so the release hangs free leaving an open hand for those hikes in rough areas. Thanks, Mike
firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted April 16, 2008 Mike, we have one of those thumb, caliper releases at SW made by Carter. I really like it! It is really light, and the trigger is light too, it shoots well! Other than that, the Scott little bitty goose and the like are nice!

You can tuck the caliper part into the wrist band so its out of the way. That comes in pretty handy when you're calling and don't want your release to "CLANK" on the call. When I'm riding on a quad or in a truck, I tuck it away and it never gets in the way

Red Rabbit Report post Posted April 16, 2008 I'm another person using the Scott Little Bitty Goose NCS. Scotts are very reliable. I used a Mongoose for 10 years, and shot quite a bit, and never had a problem. Doug~RR

300 wsm Report post Posted April 17, 2008 I shoot a Scott Little Goose. Have been for about 8 years and love it. But if you are gonna shoot string and not a loop I would consider the Gator Jaw.
