couesdiehard Report post Posted November 10, 2004 No turkey tag! Of course during my wife and sons cow elk hunt I saw more turkey than ever. In the bright side I did get archery javelina in 36A,B, & C for the month of January. I guess I will be hunting coues again in Jan instead of desert carp! And my son got drawn for a junior's javelina tag in 36A & C 2/4/-2/10. I am going to keep my eyes out for the pigs starting this Friday when my general Coues hunt starts in 36B! Good luck to all
fatfootdoc Report post Posted November 10, 2004 I got drawn for javelina and am going to enjoy what might be my last OTC spring turkey license in NM for awhile . Think I will take my muzzleloader or handgun on the pig hunt since my boy is going with me so we can get up close and personal. I think that a bow may be pushing it this year with him, still likes to kick rocks now and then. If we haven't bagged any tamale meat near the end the hunt I will get out my rifle and see what we can do from long range. ag
bullwidgeon Report post Posted November 10, 2004 I am going to chase the hogs around in the boulder piles up in the Catalinas again with a pistola. Maybe find some sheds, look at some deer and think about shooting one of the musky little toothy suckers. No turkey lurkey tag for me but I might go to NM depending on how spunky I feel. Bret M.
