Kowa Highlanders

Excellent condition with 32X eyepieces in pelican hardcase...$2700....SOLD PF

With 21X eyepieces $3200

The are not Prominars, and honestly for spotting game you dont need it. If your a star gazer then you will pick up better color at night.  I have been using "Big Eyes" for over 30 years.  These are still the best for the buck out there. No longer hunt.  recurve53@yahoo.com

To the guys Emailing me...these are not Flourite lenses ( Thats what Prominar means!).  I see on the all advertising with Kowa now they are really pushing the Flourite . Great,if you have the extra $1500 and just gotta have the best for what little gained, why better buy em. Go save up another year or two and lose the year or two you could of been glassing.  If I can see A bear 4 miles away or more with this glass,if I watch a monster Muley over 2 miles away, and can count major points...did I REALLY need flourite to do it?   For years I got up at 3:00 AM to get to the trailhead to hike two miles or more in the dark to get to one of my hides. where I would stay all day to glass A couple drainage's  and hike out in the dark. I had A padded pack for my other set of "Bigeyes" the Spider tri-pod on my shoulder. A cushion to sit on , lunch, etc.  These Highlanders arent just for sitting by your pickup.  If your going to put out the $$$ I hope to heck your going to learn how to hump it to find your game.

Guys would ask me how I see so much game. When your ready I'll tell you how. So the young guy say's ..I'm ready to know. So ...are you listening? Pinch your fore finger to your thumb and practice that move. Now get up at 3:00 AM get to the trailhead. Are you ready...use fore finger and thumb...to pull out the keys, very SIMPLE. Now get off your butt , hike in and learn to glass.  This is done before the season. Please do not email me stupid questions. Do your research , take A topo and find where the game stays. Pretty simple. thankyou for your time. Pete

Ever notice the guy on an ATV with his ice chest strapped on?  I figured to pack extra donuts and maple bars...he sure dont know how to hike.   If I have offended any of you...well you  might just understand how to do it now. Good luck , good hunting and glassing to the guys that know what I'm talking about.  Thanks again......

My other set was the straight body, as seen in pic. They went everywhere, built in 1990-91. But they would knock out of collimation very easy,so was always adjusting them. I had a padded foam pack. I actually bought the Highlanders to do comparison between the two. The old pair had 30 and 50X eyepieces.  Very rarely used the 50X,A short window there with heat and cold mirage.  Could not get 20X ,they quit making them.  I use the 21X most of the time, easier on the eyes.  You can click in the 32X when needed. I also had A set of submarine Big Eyes, Tried the Doctor 15x60 but they were off just a tad to give you eye strain from hours of glassing. The Highlanders are by far the nicest set, in sitting position work better with the 45 degree eyepieces, the eyepieces adjust to different eye width also. . Sold the old Bigeyes two years ago1314976821_BigEyes004.jpg.3c8ee0b1419ce4c87f281d4af5303221.jpg1567786074_HighlanderFlouritetoregularglass.thumb.png.04670023616d509bdf6adfa586863d24.png
