December 2007 CWT

Recommended Posts

My brother-in-law sent me some photo's today of our December Coues. I think they look real good for just over three months being mounted. Has any one else got their mounts back yet? Lets see them!

Well, this is a NM buck that I took in January of 2007 with my recurve, so maybe it qualifies for this topic

I usually figure about 12 months to get a mount from a taxidermist. It may take months to get the hide back from the tannery to begin with, then the mount will be waiting in line to be done with possibly hundreds of others.

Thanks Jeremy, he wasn't outside long, just long enough for the mount to dry out ;) I would agree that turn around time is not a good sign to determine taxidermy qualtiy, either good or bad.

Here is my brother-in-laws WI Whitetail from last November. He already has it home and on the wall.

I have a trip planned for this year to try and get me one like it.
